![]() ![]() While the V1, V860 III, and TT685 II speedlights also have TCM capability, it's strictly for on-camera usage of the speedlight and not as a radio master for off-camera flash power control. For that, you need an XPro, XPro II, or Flashpoint R2 Pro II transmitter. If your on-camera flash is in Manual mode then make sure the Godox is in the S1 mode. The S1 setting is for dumb Slave mode that will fire at the first flash of light it sees. The TT685ll is also built-in with Godox 2.4G wireless X system to obtain seamless connectivity with compatible flashes or flash triggers. If the Godox is in S1 mode it will fire at the first TTL programing pre-flash before the shutter opens. I want on-camera TTL and HSS, and remote off-camera TTL and HSS. Then, later will add in a smaller TT350 as a second flash, and more compact on-camera option. It's not possible with the X2T it cannot do TCM. Integrating transmitter and receiver in one flash, the TT685ll gives you the maximum flexibility and convenience to co-work with other flashes. Looking to purchase a Godox V860II or TT685 flash, with the remote trigger X1T-F trigger for off-camera option. I assume this is not a feature of the Godox setup I am using? Or is there perchance a setting/method somewhere that will allow my Godox to do what I mention above, please?. The main reasons people never used off-camera TTL before this is that in the past, you could only get it with OEM "smart" optical systems (which were less reliable than radio and far more expensive, gear-wise), TTL control was all-groups in TTL with only group ratio settings (hard/impossible to control for more than 2 groups), and shot-to-shot variance from TTL being metering-based. This flash features a powerful guide number of 60 at ISO 100 with a zoom range of 20-200mm. Godox offering a low-cost radio system with TTL locking, and the ability to mix TTL and M groups together make off-camera TTL usable. The Godox TT685 II Speedlite for Sony Cameras is a powerful and effective lighting tool. To me this is a win/win, since it allows easy "first time" setup of the flash for the scene I want, and then I can continue shooting with no risk of TTL making slight exposure changes to the next shots in the series.
